Number Range Object with Year Enabled Flag
In the Number range object creation, To-Year Flag can me selected to enable add YEAR as additional parameter in the interval creation.
In an interval, with different years the numbers can be overlap but in two different intervals the numbers should not overlap.
More over the generated number is stored in application table should provide YEAR as a key field as same number can be generated for two different years.
Go to Tx- SNRO
Provide a number range object number & select Create button.
Provide texts, number length domain, % warning and mark To-Year Flag.
Choose no buffering and Save.
Select Ranges button.
Select Change Intervals button.
Create different intervals for three different years( where numbers may or may not overlap) for the interval number ’01’.
The application program generates the sequential number by using the FM- NUMBER_GET_NEXT.
Execute the program for different years.
