FPM Application Based on CDS View

This post shows how to create an FPM application from a simple CDS view. 

Below we have the CDS view on SCARR table.  The CDS view name is ‘ZDEMO_SCARR’.

CDS view data preview shows all the records.

Go to the backend system and run Tx- FPM_WB

Choose the highlighted link- Wizard for Creating FPM Apps Based on Business Entities

The below screen appears.

Provide application name, choose floorplan as Overview and provide application configuration and floorplan configuration name. Finally select NEXT button.

Choose Core Data Services from the Business Entity Source. Now from F4 value help choose the CDS view ZDEMO_SCARR for the business entity.

Choose CDS view as ZDEMO_SCARR

Select NEXT button.

Here we can select the association present in the CDS view but our selected CDS view doesn’t have any association. So simply select NEXT button.

Automatically we have the search component and a list component is added. Here we can do the data preview.

The DATA Preview shows how the FPM search and list screen look like. Click on search button.

So its working fine.

---

Go back to the design and click on NEXT button.

---

Select SAVE button.

---

Select Execute Application link to test the fpm application.

---

A search by the currency shows the desired result.
