So we have a smartform : Z_SF_FORM_01 created with English Lang and contains a text element.
Test the smartform and we have the below output in English language. Now on a need basis we need the DE(German Translation of the text element).
Go to Tx- SE63
Navigate along the shown path.
Choose as marked.
Provide teh smart form name and for translation provide the source and target language and select EDIT.
The below screen appears. Now we have the text in English in the upper half.
In the second half of the window maintain the relevant German text.
For test we have just maintained as bwlow. Save and activate.
Login in Language DE and open the same smartform and TEST it.
The preview displays the relevant German text.
