Material Field Length Extension
In SAP Business Suite the Material length is 18 char long but in S4 HANA on premise edition 1511 or higher the material length in data base is 40 in length.
In S/4 HANA its 40 char length.
In SPRO – If some external interfaces uses the material number, the below option must be activated[ Extended Material Number].
In logistics General, the material output length can be specified.
